1. No sign-up
Seongbunkok is free and works without an account. We do not ask for names, phone numbers or emails.
2. Barcodes and camera
Barcodes are read inside your phone browser. The camera image is not uploaded. The barcode number or search term is sent to our server, which looks it up in Korea's Food Safety Korea (MFDS) data and Open Food Facts. On iPhone Safari the barcode reader (ZXing) is loaded from cdn.jsdelivr.net.
3. Shared cart rooms
Rooms (Korean pages) store the room name, the nickname you enter, the barcodes you add with the time, and a random key that lets you edit your own cart, in our database (Cloudflare D1). Anyone with the room link can see the room name, nicknames and products. You can remove your own products in the room. Rooms have no set expiry; email us the room link to have it deleted.
4. Stored on this device
Rooms you joined (last 10: room id, name, your nickname, key) and recently viewed products (last 30) are kept in your browser's local storage so you can pick up where you left off. They never leave your device and are removed when you clear site data.
5. Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand which screens are used. They collect usage such as visits, clicks and scrolling with cookie-like identifiers.
6. Advertising and cookies
The site shows ads from Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. See How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings or at aboutads.info. The site keeps working if you block cookies.
7. Coupang Partners
Some Korean pages contain Coupang Partners links, for which we receive a commission. Coupang may use cookies after you click to attribute purchases.
8. Server logs
The site runs on Cloudflare, which may process connection data such as IP addresses for security and reliability. We do not use these logs to identify visitors.
9. Contact form
What you enter in the partnership form (name, company, email, message) is sent to AZET's inquiry system (inquiry.azet.io) so we can reply.
